Hi! I’m Michael!
I’m a Bay Area-born-and-raised, certified milennial internet kid, and your new favorite reason to be hungry online.
I started Between Spoonfuls in 2017. What began as restaurant reviews and food photography and styling took a delicious detour during the pandemic, when I finally had time to cook and bake with patience and creativity.
My food soul lives somewhere between the cozy, nostalgic recipes I grew up eating and the pure joy of turning a dish into a tiny work of art. Japanese food art and kawaii aesthetics are my biggest inspirations, and I am obsessed with finding ways to make food that’s as fun to look at as it is to eat.
So I hope you’re hungry, because there’s always something good between spoonfuls.
